Sound Design first began in 1993 as a car audio and security installation company.  In 1995, a building was leased in downtown Temple, Texas to serve as the main office.  At that time, the focus of the company’s business shifted to home audio and video systems.  In 1999, the car audio/security faction of the company was sold and Sound Design’s office was relocated to a shop near Lake Belton.  A second office was opened in Waco, Texas in November of 2005 due to an increasing amount of work being performed in the area and the desire of Waco builders to be conducting business with a local firm.  Business continued to expand and in 2008 Sound Design opened a third office in Horseshoe Bay near Marble Falls.

Currently many services are offered including installation of home theater, surround sound, home integration systems, lighting control, central vacuum, security , structured wiring, computer network and surveillance camera systems.  Sound Design specializes in home integration, bringing all of the home’s control devices (HVAC, pool control, security , lighting, audio and video system) into one touch screen control device for every room that can operate all the systems individually.  The company possesses three showrooms to demonstrate the functionalities of its systems.

Sound Design is a member of the Temple Area Builder’s Association, Central Texas Home Builders Association, Heart of Texas Builders Association and the Chamber of Commerce.
